• Panache was 2 years in-the-making.
• Shawna Goodman-Sone , professionally-trained chef and volunteer, initiated the project.
• The magnificent cookbook cover artwork is an oil painting commissioned from Yehuda Chaki , an internationally acclaimed artist .
• Over 100 volunteers worked on the book – from gathering and testing recipes to sales & marketing initiatives.
• Fundraising activities included cooking classes taught by a variety of local chefs, as well as corporate and private donations.
• First edition (4000 copies) sold out within 6 months.
• Listed as a Best-Seller (Special Interest) in the Montreal Gazette, April 2005
